About Olivia
Olivia Bock is a Registered Nurse, a Lactation Counselor, and a Pathway 3 International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) candidate. She is a self-proclaimed lactation nerd, a passion that began when she successfully breastfed her 3rd child after a previous rough breastfeeding journey. Her own enlightening experience with formula and bottle feeding, donor milk supplementation, and breastfeeding over the course of raising her four children leaves her with a unique perspective to support parents in whatever feeding situation they may be. With the youngest still breastfeeding, Olivia is able to connect with pregnant and new moms in a special way, taking the time to understand what they need and helping them resolve any issues they may be facing.
Olivia is also aware of the effects of tongue tie as regards infants and breastfeeding having had two of her babies born with the condition which was later revised. This adds to her extensive knowledge surrounding lactation and breastfeeding care that includes flange fitting, tethered oral tissues, DMER, weight gain struggles, low milk supply among others. Olivia is always happy to provide a shoulder to lean on while walking her clients through the intricacies of parenthood. It is for this reason that she invests in continued research, although it leads to her spending too much time on social media, all so that she is aware of the latest methods and brings creative solutions/ practices to help facilitate smooth transitions into motherhood. Each deep-dive online brings her one step closer to putting a smile on her clients’ faces. That Olivia got to pursue her IBCLC certification and started a business while raising 4 babies is proof of her determination, fearlessness, self-drive, and great work ethic. She has never been one to back down from a challenge, instead turning it into an opportunity to help others to the best of her abilities. Her professional background includes working on a surgical unit as a Registered Nurse. This really prepared her for the work she does now as an advocate and advisor for parents.
In her free time, Olivia enjoys spending time with her husband and their 4 kiddos, eating out, and
being a mom.
